3. In previous weeks we saw that Christians are not guaranteed to be happy happy happy all the time, but will sometimes suffer trials, tribulations, temptations, and persecutions. How do the promises of present and future grace help Christians to be “more than conquerors”?

ESV Romans 8:18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.

ESV Romans 5:3 More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, 4 and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, 5 and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
